Reading+Comprehension

Romani and Bulgarian students from grades 5 to 8 participated in the study. The purpose was to examine to what degree they understand reading materials and how different factors determine their reading skills.The data were organized in several factorial designs, in order to analyze the influence of the following independent factors: mother tongues, gender, school grade and type of residential arca on reading comprehesion. One of the most important results, which requires further research, is the extremly high avarage score of students in grade 5 compared in all designs to the performance of other grades.
